Chikmagalur Utsav to instill happiness among people
Several plans are in the pipeline which included helping poor families
Pragativahini News, Chikmagalur : Chikmagalur is blessed with bountiful nature and the Chikmagalur Utsav is organized on a big scale by the state government to instill happiness among the people, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Reacting to Revenue Minister R.Ashok’s announcement of giving Rs 2,000 per month for each BPL family as a counter to Rs 2,000 for each woman in each family, the CM told reporters here on Wednesday that details regarding the ‘Grihini Shakti’ scheme are collected and it will be examined. Several plans are in the pipeline which included helping poor families to buy the daily required items and to lead a happy life. This scheme will be implemented on an experimental basis in Assam.
Clear picture after the final report
Reacting to the reservation, he ruled out any confusion in this regard and said the interim report submitted by the Backward Classes Commission had been placed before Cabinet. However, a clear picture will emerge after the acceptance of the final report as it will fix the quantum of reservations to be made for the categories and also the categorization of the backward classes.
On Opposition Leader in the Legislative Council B.K.Hariprasad’s statement, the CM said he did know why the Congress leader made such a statement for which he will not react or comment on it. In 2007, 17 MLAs from the Janata Dal (Secular) joined the Congress Party and like them, those 17 legislators from the Congress Party and JDS joined the BJP, faced the elections, and won. “Mr Hariprasad, if this logic is applied to these MLAs why not apply to those who joined your party in 2007?”
Asked about senior BJP MLA, Basangouda Patil Yatnal making statements on his own party government, Bommai said they are the most courageous friends and the high command will talk and resolve everything.
