Dr. Anil B. Kalkundrikar passed away

He was a beloved figure in the academic community, having dedicated his life to the pursuit of knowledge and the betterment of education. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched and the many lives he impacted.

Dr. Anil B. Kalkundrikar was a highly accomplished academic, having earned a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Commerce from Karnataka University in Dharwad. He then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in a Case Study of Grameen Banks in Karnataka from the same university. He has served as a Director of KLS’s Institute of Management Education Research in Belagavi, Principal of KLS’s Gogte College of Commerce in Belagavi, and Coordinator of the MBA Programme at Rani Channamma University in Belagavi since July 2011.

Dr. Kalkundrikar had also made significant contributions to the academic world through his research. He has published 73 research papers in national and international journals and conferences of repute, 20 books, and has guided 25 Ph.D. candidates. His areas of research include Managerial Economics Indicators, Business Ethics, the Growth of Literature, and the Obsolescence of Literature.

Professor A.B. Kalkundrikar had conducted research activities in nearly three states: Maharashtra, Goa, and Andhra Pradesh. He has held a number of administrative positions, including Board of Studies in Commerce at Goa University, Board of Studies in Management Faculty at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Member of College Development Council at Karnataka University, Coordinator of Institute of Chartered Financial Analysis of India Accredited Study Centre in Belagavi, Member of Organizing Committee of ISTD Goa Chapter, Resource Person for various Academic and Research Oriented Programs at different Universities (Karnataka, Goa, Shivaji University), Member of Editorial Committee of Belagavi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Publication of Newsletter, Member of Managing Committee of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Chairman of Board of Studies in Management at Rani Channamma University Belagavi.

With an impressive list of accolades, he had been recognized for his outstanding achievements and contributions to the fields of economics, law, and management. He has been awarded the Best Citizen of India Award 1998, MSPI Award of Outstanding Personality, GEM of India Award 1998, Distinguished Leadership Award for inclusion in the International Directory of Distinguished Leadership, and Gold Medal for standing first in Economics at Karnataka University Dharwad. Additionally, he has been honored with the Excellence Award from Karnataka Law Society, Lifetime Achievement Award by the National and International Compendium New Delhi, American Management Association New York, and is a Life Member of Om Shri Sai Samaj. He is also a Member of Indradhanushya, Honorary President of Karnataka University Economics Teachers Association, and Member of All India Management Association New Delhi. His impressive list of accomplishments has earned him recognition and admiration from all corners of the world.
