CM Bommai happy over BSY’s appointment as member of BJP Parliamentary Board

Pragativahini News,  Bengaluru : Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai has expressed his happiness over the appointment of his predecessor and farmer leader, B.S.Yediyurappa as member of BJP Parliamentary Board. As soon as the order came out, the CM called up Yediyurappa and congratulated him for the new responsibility as member of BJP Parliamentary Board . He said By nominating him as member, the party has given an important post to him. Bommai said with the nomination of Yediyurappa to Parliamentary board, the party has now got the elephant strength. The victory of BJP in the 2023 Assembly election is for sure. “I am indebted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and BJP National President J.P Nadda ji for nominating him for the important post”.

 *Bring more services under Gram One Centre, CM Bommai instructs officials*

With a view to providing civic services in gran panchayat level, Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai instructed officials to add a few more services to Grama One Centres to strengthen them. Chairing the review meeting of Department of e-governance here on Wednesday, he asked officials to identify the services that could be provided at Grama One Centres, discuss it with departments concerned and then take necessary steps. The specialised services must be restricted to the districts concerned and provide the same through the Grama One Centres. Opportunities could be created to offer micro banking, LPG booking and other services at the Centres. As many as 7274 Centres are functioning in all districts so far. In January, 2022 a total of 66,520 transactions have taken place and it increased to 10,36,542 transaction June, 2022, officials informed the CM. Bommai suggested officials to experiment on providing the services of Atal Jana Snehi Centres which are functioning in Hobli level at least in a few Gram One Centres. Discussion was also held regarding starting of the new data centre and the officials were asked to select the suitable place for the proposed Centre. Even private companies are coming forward to start the Data Centre and a policy needs to be worked out to take services from those centres. There was ample opportunity to make use of information available under K-GIS and to take correct decision. Departments must make use of this facility, he added. He instructed officials to start preparations for starting Drone School under the PM Gathishakthi scheme at a cost of Rs 25 crore. The officials explained to the CM that several facilities are provided to citizens under various schemes without submitting applications on the basis of information available in Kutumba software. As announced by the chief minister recently such as free 75 units of power under Amrit Jyothi, scholarship for the children of weavers and beneficiaries are identified on the basis of software. The CM stressed on providing satisfactory service to the complainants under Integrated Complaints Redressal system. The e-governance is an important tool in good governance and it must be utilised to extend the government facilities to people in most transparent manner. The meeting was informed that Karnataka has been making best use of Direct Benefit Transfer. In 2021-22, Rs 11708.75 crore has been transferred directly to bank accounts of 1.77 crore beneficiaries of various schemes with a trsanction of 3.53 crore. In 2022-23, Ra 3114.55 crore has been transferred to 63.87 lakh beneficiaries so far. The CM instructed officials to further strengthen the DBT platform and bring all schemes of all the government departments. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner ISN Prasad, Principal Secretary to the CM N.Manjunath Prasad, Finance Department Secretary P.C.Jaffer and e- governance Department Secretary V Ponnuraj and others.
