Pragativahini News, Belagavi – ‘If the KLE Society was not established in North Karnataka by seven dedicated teachers and without the significant contribution by Dr.Prabhakar Kore, this region could have remained as the backward region’ said Basavaraj Bommai, Chief Minister.
He was speaking at Dr. B.S.Jirge Auditorium, JNMC Campus, Belagavi on 11th June 2022 while addressing Belagavi District KLE Teachers and canvassing for BJP MLC candidates Shri Arun Shahapur and Shri Hanumanth Nirani.
The KLE Society’s contribution to the field of education and health-care has been noteworthy. Dr.Prabhakar Kore, Chairman of the KLE Society under his visionary leadership it has been possible to grow to newer heights particularly in the field of education and healthcare. The name and fame of the KLE Society has reached nationally and internationally. It is a matter of great pride to be associated and involved with the KLE Society. It is the fundamental duty of the teachers and employees of the KLE to give preference to these two candidates while exercising their votes.
The State Government has taken a number of initiatives for education and extended the education clusters. The appointment process for 15000 teachers is underway. Necessary grant has been released by the State Government for establishment of 1500 new schools in rural areas. The State Government has accorded approval for establishment of seven new Universities in the State with emphasis on quality education and research. The State Government has been putting sincere efforts for development of education. The candidates contesting for MLC from Teacher and Graduate Constituencies needs to be selected in order to ensure effective implementation of educational programs undertaken by the State Government.
Speaking on the occasion the Chairman of the KLE Society Dr.Prabhakar Kore said the contribution made by saptarshis and founders of the KLE Society has been noteworthy and appreciated by one and all and because of their sacrifice the KLE Society has grown by leaps and bounds. The students from anywhere in the world always ask about the teachers of the KLE Society which shows that it is because of the contribution and sacrifice of the teachers, the KLE Society has been recognized nationally and internationally. It is a matter of great pride for the KLE Society that its alumni including INFOSYS Smt. Sudha Murthy, CM Basavaraj Bommai, Jagadish Shettar, Late Shri Ananth Kumar, Shri Pralhad Joshi, Murugesh Nirani and many politicians have brought laurels to the KLE Society. The alumni of the KLE Society have reached top-most in various administrative services in the country as IAS and IPS Officers. The BJP party has joined hands in many constructive works between the State and Centre from time to time for which BJP has been always remembered. Hence, the CM called upon the KLE teachers to give first preference for the BJP candidates viz. Shri Arun Shahapur and Shri Hanumanth Nirani while exercising their votes.
Belagavi District Incharge Minister Govind Karjol, Minister for Forests, Food and Civil Supplies Shri Umesh Katti, MLC Laxman Savadi spoke on the occasion. MP Smt. Mangala Angadi, Minister Smt. Shashikala Jolle, MLA Anil Benake, Amarasimha Patil, Vishwanath Patil, Anil Patted, Jayanand Munavalli were on the dias. Former MLC Shri Mahantesh Kavatagimath proposed vote of thanks. Dr. Mahesh Gurnagoudar anchored the program.
