Model assembly competition at Belagavi

10 students from different colleges where selected for state level competition

Pragativahini News, Belagavi:  Karnataka Institute for Law and Parliamentary Reforms, Bangalore in collaboration with KLS Raja Lakhamgouda Law College Belagavi had organized one day model assembly competition at Zilla Panchayat conference hall.

Dwarkanath Babu Director KILPR was chief guest for the function. Dwarkanath Babu highlighted the importance to students, further Mysuru Prajapati Sabha was the first to form the parliamentary after the government Act came into existence.

Ravindra S. Muttalik Advocate and chairman IMER Institute was President for the function. In his presidential remarks he shared his view on parliamentary. There are four pillars of parliament such as Legislative, Executive, Judiciary and media. The present youth lack knowledge of how government actually runs. In order to make everyone aware about parliamentary form of government this competition is organized he said.

 Mangala Angadi MP Belagavi consistency was the chief guest for valedictory function. Addressing the students she spoke about the importance of mock parliamentary competition to Law students. Such competition builds leadership qualities in students and which will also  help in the future.

More than 15 colleges had participated from Belagavi zone in the competition. Out of 60 participants 10 students from different colleges where selected for state level competition. Dr Revaiya wadiyar briefed rules and guidelines of the competition. Dr A.H Hawaldar welcomed the gathering, prof Chetankumar T.M and Prof S.S Hegde were present on the occasion.
