No thinking on North Karnataka separate state; CM Bommai
Reacting to the statement of minister Umesh Katti

There is no thinking or proposal at the government level on a separate state of North Karnataka, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.
The Chief Minister was speaking to media persons at Karnataka Bhavan in New Delhi.
Reacting to the statement of minister Umesh Katti on the issue, Bommai said, “this is not the first time Umesh Katti has spoken about it. He has been saying it for many years. He himself should reply to this question.”
Road works: Inquiry if details are provided
Replying to a question on poor quality of a road laid by BBMP just ahead of Prime Minister Modi’s visit, Bommai said, “I will get it probed if details are furnished.”
Delhi visit on instructions of party top brass: CM Bommai:
I have come to Delhi on the instructions of party top brass for all the party Chief Ministers to be present when our candidate for Presidential elections files the nomination papers and to sign the nomination papers as one of the proposers, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.
Speaking to media persons in New Delhi, Bommai said that he had no plans to meet any top leaders of the party or hold talks on cabinet expansion. “Reports on possible ministry expansion in the media is a usual affair whenever I visit Delhi. I have not met the party top brass,” he said.
Newly laid road caves in: CM Bommai orders probe and action:
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has instructed BBMP Commissioner to conduct an inquiry into the caving in of a road which was laid just ahead of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the city.
The road near the Dr. BR Ambedkar School of Economics(BASE) was laid just a couple of days before Modi’s visit to inaugurate the BASE campus. The Chief Minister has instructed the BBMP Commissioner to conduct an inquiry into the shoddy work and take appropriate action against those responsible for it.
According to a preliminary inquiry, the road caved in due to leakage of a water pipe.
