Congress leaders are bankrupt of ideas, says CM Bommai

Congress is desperate, opines CM Bommai

Pragativahini News, Bengaluru : The Congress leaders are bankrupt of ideas, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Reacting to Congress’ allegation of intervention into privacy of people in the name of voters’ survey here on Thursday, he said the Election Commission of India has authorised Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and local organisations to undertaken ‘Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation Program’ (SVEEP) and that survey work will be entrusted to Non-Governmental Organisations. This is not the first time as it has been held even in 2018. “I will order a detailed probe into it including the orders by the Election Commission of India and let the truth come out”.
*Baseless allegations*
on the Congress Party demanding his resignation, the CM said it was ‘ridiculous’. If this is the yardstick then the Congress chief ministers should have resigned three times by now. This allegation is ‘baseless’ and ‘far from truth’.
 Congress is desperate
The Congress government made use of the entire information of the State but still lost the election. Now the Congress leaders have become desperate and are issuing statements, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Replying to reporters on the charges made by Congress leaders on the misuse of the election nomination paper,  the CM said the previous Congress government headed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah spent Rs 130 crore to get the social economic survey of the whole state which included caste, sub-caste and others, and prepared a huge document. Instead of making it public the same thing was used for the election purpose.  On this issue, the Siddaramaiah government must have been punished. The current government was no way connected with it. If this thing has happened at a lower level, it will be enquired and the guilty will be punished.
Technical committee inspection
On the controversial bus shelter designs in Mysuru which has resulted in a war of words between Mysuru MP Pratap Simha and MLA S.A.Ramdas, the CM said it has been decided to constitute a committee of experts to examine it. More than knowing reasons for the differences of opinion between two leaders, the government is more interested in taking action as per the opinion of the experts committee.
