Separate college for Muslim girls: No proposal before Govt, clarifies CM Bommai

Talking to reporters at Bommanakatte helipad

Pragativahini News, Shivamogga : Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai ruled out any proposal from Wakf Board before the State government regarding the opening of separate college for Muslim girls.
Talking to reporters at Bommanakatte helipad here on Thursday, he said the statement by Karnataka State Wakf Board Chairman on the opening of separate college for the Muslim girl student was only a statement and no such proposal is before the government.
On reports that the attendance of the Muslim girls has declined after the Hijab rules, the CM termed it as ‘false’ and ‘baseless’ as the girls attendance has been complete. In fact, the literacy rate of Karnataka has increased and the minority girl students are showing more interest in education. There is no confusion in this regard.
