30 Bed hospital in Karadagi at a cost of Rs 8 crore: CM Bommai
Pragativahini News, Haveri : The degradation of Karadagi Primary Health Centre has been taken up in Karadagi and a 30-bed hospital, Operation Theatre, and other facilities will be provided at a cost of Rs 8 crore, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for various development works and Yatri Nivas at Sri Veerabhadreshwara Swamy Kshethra at Karadagi in Savanur taluk on Saturday, he said for the sake of the rural population of Karadagi and surrounding areas, the PHCs in Hulaguru in Shiggaon taluk and Karadagi in Savanur taluk will be upgraded. A detailed development plan has been chalked out for Karadagi which included Valmiki Bhavan, Roads, Anganwadi, School, and Auditorium.
Yatri Nivas at a cost of Rs 3 crore
Bommai said Karadagi Sree Kshethra is a sacred pilgrimage and a seat of power. Devotees from Belagavi, Davangere, Shivamogga, and other places come here for darshan. The revival of Sri Veerabhadreshwara and Eshwara Temples has been done nicely. “As an MLA, I had constructed Prasada Bhavan, and now four dormitories and rooms will be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore.
An additional. Rs 1.5 crore will be sanctioned to build a Yatri Nivas. apart from this, Rs 50 lakh has been released towards basic infrastructure. A sum of Rs one crore will be sanctioned for the construction of an auditorium in this shrine. All these programs are chalked out by the government to provide good facilities to the visiting devotees. As many as 834 houses had been sanctioned for Karadagi, and an additional 200 houses will be sanctioned soon
Develop Karadagi shrine works with dedication
The CM said dasoha must take place on a big scale for people who come here for this shrine. Donations must be collected from devotees and make arrangements to distribute Prasada to the devotees daily. “I enjoy a good relationship with Karadagi and the blessings of the god of Karadagi are always on me. None must misuse the money of Eranna of Karagadi and render service with devotion. The ongoing work for the development of this shrine must be done with dedication”.
State Budget
The State Budget for the year 2023-24 will be tabled in February 2023 and already two rounds of discussions have been held with the Finance Department in this regard. After the Belagavi session, talks will be held with all the Departments and associations/organizations. Preparations for the pre-budget meeting will be started next month, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Corona prevention steps
On Corona’s preventive steps, he said ILI and SARI tests will be increased as well as ramp up the booster dose. Preparedness of the oxygen plants in hospitals, beds, and other health infrastructure is on. The ICU units are getting ready. People must wear masks and maintain social distancing. Whatever protocol was followed in the airports and bus terminals earlier will be re-introduced.
Corona preventive steps during Kannada Sammela
Asked whether the proposed Kannada Sahitya Sammelana be affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the CM ruled out saying that since the sammelana is held in the open ground there will not be any problems. But guidelines will be issued to take all preventive steps.
Mini Textile park to come up in Hulagur: CM Bommai
A mini textile park that will give employment to women will be made functional in Hulagur this year, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the new Hulagur Police Station building here on Saturday, he said Hulagur village is thickly populated and situated in the middle of Shiggaon, Savanur, and Kundagol taluk. It is also an important trade center. In view of this, the government has initiated a lot of development works. The society and KCC Bank are functioning well and advancing loans to farmers. The minorities are more in number and an Urdu School has been developed. A 30-bed hospital is being constructed and a bus stop has been built.
The CM said a 1,000-tonne capacity godown has been built in APMC and issued permits to traders to do business with farmers. An agricultural equipment center is under construction. The government has given a lot of impetus to social, economic, health and education sectors.
Union Coal and Mining Minister Pralhad Joshi and other local elected representatives were present.
