CM speaks at exhibition of Women Self-Help Group products
Pragativahini News, Belagavi : Craftsmanship is a god’s gift to Indian women and no women in other countries are gifted with this art. From next year, permanent exhibitions and marketing facilities will be provided at five places in the State. Besides, an online marketing facility will also be made. Women capacity must emerge as a big economic power, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
He said through this scheme, women are striving for the development of the nation. This scheme needs to be evaluated as the service of women is extraordinary as well as in home and outside. Nobody cares for the hard work of women. Those who work at home must also be respected and it must be evaluated. Their work must fetch income for them. The women in rural areas work just like men but they are given meagre payment. Women belonging to the poor and dalits are facing scarcity of food. Those who don’t have their own land work in the homes of others and in fields. “A special scheme will be announced for the upliftment of women in the next budget”.
Higher Education and Skill Development Minister Dr.C.N.Ashwath Narayana, Water Resources Minister and District-in-Charge Govind Karjol, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) ISN Prasad and others were present.
