*The people of the state have defeated BJP’s lies and dignity of truth wins*

 CM Siddaramaiah expresses gratitude to  party workers and voters of Varuna Constituency
Pragativahini News, Mysore :  Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the people of the state have defeated corruption, mismanagement, underdevelopment and bad politics  and taken a historic decision.
He was addressing  a massive meeting held in the of Varuna Assembly Constituency to express his gratitude to party workers and voters.
This is my last election. But I will continue to serve the people by being active in politics until my last breath. In 2013, when I was the Chief Minister, I formulated  welfare program for all castes, religions and all sections of the society. This time our government will give more effective welfare programs to the people of the state, the CM said..
‘Basavadi sharanas always  kept their word. Keeping that as an example, I took oath as Chief Minister for the first time on Basava Jayanti day itself and  doing what I  promised’ he said.
The Chief Minister’s seat is not a happy place. It is an opportunity to improve people’s lives. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had criticised that Congress guarantees will not be enforced and the  state will be bankrupt. We are now implementing all five, he added.
When Congress announced the pro-poor and middle class scheme, Prime Minister Modi should have supported our schemes. But Modi does not want the progress and development of the poor and  middle class people. Hence BJP is creating confusion among the people by spreading lies . He criticized that they do not want people to benefit.
CM said that we have implemented guarantee schemes which BJP never tries to do.
Former MLA Dr. Yatindra, Social Welfare Minister Dr. HC Mahadevappa, Animal Husbandry Minister K. Venkatesh, former minister Puttarangashetty, MLA Krishnamurthy, KPCC spokesperson Laxman, MLC Thimmaiah, former Lok Sabha member Shivanna, MLAs Gundlupet Ganesh Prasad, Anil Chikkamadu, Ravi Shankar,Harish Gowda, Nagaraj Yadav and others were present.
Responding to the shoutouts by the farmers in the meeting, “Reduce the increasing fertilizer prices”, The Chief Minister said, “Prime Minister Modi’s government has raised the price of fertilizers, and it is Modi’s government that needs to reduce the prices. But they will not reduce the price. We will also win the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. We will reduce the prices of petrol, diesel, cooking oil and fertilizers when we come to power  at the centre,he said. The crowd shouted that you should become the prime minister.
The CM said that they create confusion about the pro poor and middle class  schemes which are implemented by us . People should not lend ears to that and  move ahead to make use of these schemes.
*People have not  asked for  Varuna  to  be the  taluk center* 
 Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the people did not ask for Varuna  to become the taluk centre.
He spoke to the media near the Mysore helipad today.
Former Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai had assured  that if they  come to power  they will make  Varuna constitutency  as  the  taluk centre.  People have not asked for this. I have campaigned for three days in Varuna constituency and nowhere have people asked  me. We will not do it because  Basavaraja Bommai  has said so.  He said that if the people of Varuna Constituency ask, we will do it.
*Investigation in  Progress*
Reacting to former minister Kota Shri Niwas Pujari’s statement that the government should investigate the PSI and 40% allegations, the chief minister said, ” we need not do it by  asking them.” He said that we will definitely do it on the basis of evidence. ADGP Paul is already in jail as the PSI scam investigation is already underway. He said that the investigation is on
*We don’t  lie*
Ours is a Government which does what is promised. We don’t lie like BJP, the CM said.
The CM said that he has directed Revenue Minister Krishnabyare Gowda to   collect information on the lands sanctioned by the erstwhile  BJP Government.
