People won’t forgive Congress leaders for showing soft corner on terrorists, says CM Bommai

Addressing Jan Sankalp Yatra in Pandavapura

Pragativahini News, Mandya : The Congress leaders talk with compassion about Tipu Sultan and terrorists. The people and law will not excuse them if they get into such work, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Addressing Jan Sankalp Yatra in Pandavapura town on Friday, he said in ‘Anna Bhagya’ scheme of the previous Congress Government the rice was of Modi but only the sack with the photo of Siddaramaiah was of the then state government. The Congress leaders had indulged in corruption in every department and even in the purchase of mattresses and pillows for the poor SC/ST children, and brought disrepute to the State. They are dreaming of coming back to power in Karnataka but the voters are awake. In Karnataka, the BJP will come back to power.
Former CM B.S.Yediyurappa, Excise and Mandya and Hassan District-In-Charge Minister K.Gopalaiah, Revenue Minister R.Ashok, Sports and Youth Empowerment Minister Dr.K.C.Narayanagowda, MLC Ravikumar, BJP leaders Indresh, C.P.Umesh and others were present.
Steps to modernise Maddur Branch Canal: CM Bommai
The State government will take up the modernisation of Maddur Branch Canal as the Cauvery water is not reaching the tail-end farmers.
Addressing Jan Sankalp Yatra in Maddur town on Friday, he  said a peek into the history of Mandya shows that only Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) had come to power. The closure of Mysuru Sugar Factory in Mandya had forced the farmers of Mandya to take the sugarcane to Mysuru for crushing. The previous governments had made the life of farmers miserable. After he became the CM, the Mysugar Factory was re-opened and made arrangements for the district farmers to crush the sugarcane grown by them here. “The political parties which had won in the district never gave solution to any of the problems of people. Henceforth, those parties cannot get the voters through their emotional talks. The BJP government has responded to needs and aspirations of farmers and citizens. Sixteen new crest gates are installed in KRS dam and in the coming days all the existing old gates will be replaced with new gates. As Water Resources Minister, I had modernised the canals of Mandya at a cost of Rs 330 crore”.
