Pragativahini News, Belagavi: The KLS GIT, Belagavi is organizing “Bhakti Sugandha”, a classical and semi classical vocal recital program by Dr. KaivalyaKumar on 14th July 2023 at 3.30 pm in Silver Jubilee Auditorium, GIT campus, Udyambag, Belagavi.
Dr. Kaivalya Kumar, is a third generation singer from the Kirana Gharana of Indian classical music. He hails from Dharwad, Karnataka. He was initiated into classical music by his father Pt. Sangameshwar Gurav. Endowed with a mellifluous, fluid and high pitched tenor voice, he has achieved much recognition – “Surmani”, “Pt. Jasraj Gaurav Puraskar” and “Sarva Shreshta Kalakar” to name a few. He is the youngest Hindustani classical vocalist to get a top grade by All India Radio and Doordarshan. He has several albums to his credit. He has performed at several prestigious musical festivals in India, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Singapore, Australia, Dubai, Muscat and Qatar. Recently he has received the honorary Doctorate.
