Pragativahini News, Belagavi – Swimmers’ club Belgaum and Aquarius swim club Belgaum continue their winning stream at THE PUC Board Under-19 SGFI State swimming competition.
At the recently concluded PUC Board Under-19 State swimming competition 2022 conducted under the auspicious of School Games Federation of India and was held at Basavangudi Aquatic Centre Bangalore , five champion swimmers from swimmers’ club Belgaum and Aquarius swim club Belgaum marked their place in the Karnataka state team for the SGFI National Games to be held later this year. Swimmers won a total of 35 medals, comprising of 4 Gold medals, 13 Silver medals and 18 Bronze medals and dominated the State meet.

Above all swimmers are taking swimming training at Suvarna JNMC swimming pool (Olympic size) Belagavi under the watchful guidance of coaches Akshay sheregar, Ajinkya Mendke, Nitish Kuduchkar, Govardhan Kakatkar and have been greatly supported and encouraged by Dr.Prabhakar Kore(chairman KLE Society), Shri. Jayant Humbarwadi (president, Jaybharat Foundation), Rtn. Avinash Potdar, Smt. Manek Kapadia, Smt. Lata Kittur, Umesh Kalghatgi, Sudhir kusane, Prasad Tendolkar and others.
